New iPod Touch
Apple’s new iPod touch doesn’t come with many changes this year besides a white version and storage up to 64 GB. For the rest it’s pretty much the same. You do obviously get iOS 5. The prices range from $199 for the 8GB version, all the way up $399 for a 64GB model.
Release date is October 12th.
Apple releases new iPhone
Apple’s new iPhone 4S was announced yesterday. Amidst all the rumors for an iPhone 5, it turned out to be the 4S. Not much has changed on the eye, in fact nothing, however it is what’s under the lid that truly amazes people.
The 4S carries a 8MP camera on the back which is able to record full 1080p HD video’s, it has 8 hours of 3G enabled talk time (14 for those still rocking 2G). Of course it runs on iOS 5 and to keep the whole thing from freezing it has nothing less than a dual core A5 processor.
The War verges on
Not even 24 hours after the announcement of the iPhone 4S and Samsung has already made plans to block it in Italy and France. The reason: the iPhone 4s infringes two patents related to WCDMA standards within their 3G-devices. Samsung has also confirmed that they are planning to pursue in other countries.
“Apple has continued to flagrantly violate our intellectual property rights and free ride on our technology; we believe it is now necessary to take legal action to protect our innovation.”
Apple has yet to provide a counterstatement
HP is still on the prowl for Autonomy
HP has paid a sum of $10.4 Billion for a controlling percentage of Autonomy stock. The firm will remain a separate unit however under HP influence.
Their current CEO Whitman stated this about their decision:
“Autonomy significantly increases our capabilities to manage and extract meaning from that data to drive insight, foresight and better decision making.”
Toshiba accounces 4k glasses free 3DTV in Asia
Toshiba has just announced their 4k glasses free 3DTV in Asia. This screen houses a 3840 x 2140 resolution aka 4k, and supports face tracking for up to 9 viewers (depending on where they are seated).
The price tag on this sweat baby is around $10,000
Rhapsody sings a deal for Napster
Due to the rise of popularity of music streaming Rhapsody has decided to take action to further expand. They are planning to acquire Napster (as soon as end November). With this deal they will acquire the database of subscribers plus extra’s (unknown now).
Napster’s current owners, Best Buy, will get a minor stake in the company after the acquisition.
In the world of media streaming it is either ‘Go Big or Go Home’.
3 Nokia Windows Phone detailed
Since Microsoft and Nokia announced that they would be partnering together, the whole word has been waiting for a Nokia Windows Phone device. Once in a while the press managed to get some leaks, or photos from a “no-photo” demo of their Sea Ray device.
Now however Nokia has made the choice to release the specs of 3 upcoming WP7 Mango devices. The Sea Ray, Sabre and Ace.
It has been said that Nokia will officially announce them at Nokia World on the 26th of October.

Samsung has announced yet another tablet to add to their Galaxy tab collection. The Galaxy tab 7 Plus. This device will come in both a 16 and 32GB option. Its specifications include:

A couple of years ago Google introduced Street View, a fun way to interact with their maps. Now Google stepped it up by rolling out Helicopter View. Since it is quite new not everything is ready to be seen in Helicopter view, however some places in California (San Francisco area), are already online.
